news from Round 2, held at Wangaratta (Vic)

The second Victorian round of MEASQ competition was held at Wangaratta Showgrounds, Wangaratta on Sunday, 12th February 2012
.
was well represented across the classes, with more outstanding results for the team.

Intermediate Class results:

Clinton Lea (2006 VZ Holden Commodore) using DLS Gothia 3way front speakers, an aging Image Dynamics subwoofer and a DLS RA40 amplfier, placed 3rd at this round
This result, whilst not as good as his 1st at Round 1, was still a great effort for Clinton as the car is still a work-in-progress.
Clinton's Commodore still has much work to be completed (this includes installing DLS Nordica subwoofers in place of the temporary Image Dynamics and more DLS amplifiers) before the car can be considered close to complete.
Clinton still sits atop the Leaderboard in the chase for a Victorian Title in his class.

Advanced Class results:

Adam Boyer (2007 Ford Focus)
using Crescendo MB6 midbass, MB3N midrange and Scanspeak tweeters as the 3way front speaker system, powered by a DLS RA40 amplifier, placed 1st.
Adam is continuing his great form from Round 1, where he was 1st in this class.
Adam has major changes planned throughout 2012 for his Focus' system, so should only improve his points score tally, as the year progresses.
Alan Sornig (1995 XR6 Ford Falcon) using various gear including an Image Dynamics subwoofer, finished in 2nd place only 2 points behind Adam, again!
Alan and Adam were the main contenders in this class at Round 1 and it seems nothing has changed.
Brian French (1997 VT Holden Commodore) finished in 5th place after a countback on tied points for 4th place.
Brians Holden Commodore was unchanged from Round1, with the exception of new A-pillar mountings for his Crescendo T3R tweeters. these combine with Crescendo MB6 midwoofers to form his 2way front speaker system. Brian also uses a Morel ULTIMO SC subwoofer and powers his system from DLS RA40 and RA10 amplifiers.
Other modifications are planned in the next few weeks to improve and upgrade his system and get him back in the chase for the 2012 Victorian Title.

still has the goal to occupy all the podium places in the Advanced class, at every round of MEASQ in 2012!

Expert Class results:

FCA's 2009 Honda Civic VTi-l finished in 1st place at this round.
Minor changes had been made since Round 1.
Tuning will continue throughout the year to extract the maximum potential from the system, with the ultimate aim to claim the Australian Title at Parkes [NSW], at the end of September 2012

Other team members who were not able attend Round 2 included, Adhika Rusly (VW Golf), Lyndon Weeder (Mitsubishi Magna) and Daniel Broadbent (Nissan Navara).
Daniel couldn't make this round as he experienced transmission problems with the Navara, only days before the event.
Lyndon has already told me he will be attending all the remaining rounds in 2012, with Adhika being at as many as his business schedule will allow.
We hope to see them all competing at all future MEASQ rounds this year.

have a 5 week turn-around before Round 3 in Narre Warren on 31st March 2012, and we have every intention to continue achieving these great results.

STAY TUNED FOR MORE!
